Venture deep into the remote and rarely visited Federated States of Micronesia on an exclusive bird photography expedition spanning all four states from Yap State in the west through Chuuk and Pohnpei States and finally to the pristine island of Kosrae in the east. With 19 endemic species and a further 4 regional endemics possible, this tour offers exceptional opportunities to capture unique avifauna found nowhere else on Earth. Guided by one of Asia and Oceania’s most seasoned bird photographers, participants will benefit from expert fieldcraft and local knowledge. The journey traverses a rich mosaic of habitats, from lush volcanic rainforests and mist-draped uplands to mangrove-fringed lagoons, coral atolls, and secluded coastal forests. This is a rare chance to combine world-class bird photography with exploration of some of the Pacific’s most untouched island landscapes.
