Laos is a landlocked country located in South East Asia, bounded by China to the north, by Vietnam to the east, and by Thailand and Cambodia to the west and south respectively. Laos also has varied habitats ranging from tropical rainforests and highland forests to river valleys and wetlands, and this in turn has created a diversity of over 400 bird species. Bird-Photo-Tours ASIA’ Laos workshops will focus on generating close photographic encounters with many of the country’s special birds including the endemic Bare-faced Bulbul and two near-endemic species, Mekong Wagtail and Black-faced Babbler. In addition to photographing birds, Laos also offers breathtaking landscapes, such as wetland areas, terraced rice fields and tropical rainforests, enhancing the overall experience of being in nature whilst observing birds.
