Join us at Bird-Photo-Tours ASIA and explore these rarely-visited but endemic-rich islands that lie to the east of New Guinea. The Solomons form a chain of islands stretching out beyond New Guinea into the deeper South Pacific and yet this island archipelago is close enough to retain a reasonably high bird diversity yet isolated and fragmented enough to enable a high degree of bird endemism as well as providing an undisturbed sanctuary for seabirds. The seabirds and shorebirds of the archipelago alongside its endemics formed the focus for this bird photography workshop where we prioritised capturing portraits of Lesser and Greater Frigatebirds, Brown and Black Noddies, Red-footed and Brown Boobies, Blue-billed White Terns and Bridled Terns, White-tailed Tropicbirds and Sanford’s Sea Eagles, Wandering Tattlers and Bristle-thighed Curlews, Melanesian and Pacific Kingfishers as well landlords including White-eyes, Fantails, Myzomelas, Starlings, Fruit Doves, Imperial Pigeons and Megapodes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
