The huge state of Kazakhstan occupies the north西部 part of 中部 Asia and in spring has so much to offer the bird photographer. This vast 中部 Asian country is five times larger than France and stretches 2,000 kilometres from the Caspian Sea to China and 1,200 kilometres from the Urals to its 南部 borders with Kyrgyzstan. With a population of just 18 million, split evenly between Kazakhs and Russians, it is one of the least densely populated countries in Eurasia but one of the richest areas for birds straddling the border between the 西部 and 东部 Palearctic. Bird-Photo-Tours Asia' Kazakhstan expedition will look to produce close photographic encounters with 黄颊麦鸡, 白翅百灵 and 黑翅燕鸻 in the Akmola Region to 纵纹角鸮, 棕薮鸲 and 赛氏篱莺 in the Zhambyl Region to 红胸鸻, 黑腹沙鸡 and Desert Warbler in the Almaty Region. There can be few countries with such an impressive avifauna as Kazakhstan.
